As part of our Recycling Badge, our cubs made this skipping rope using recycled cold drink bottles.
A 1.5 meter of sash cord was cut for each cub. This the cubs could decorate with koki pens with a design of their own choice.
A hole was punched out of each bottle top so that the rope could be fed through it and knotted on the other side.
I bought some coloured 'pom-poms' and inserted those inside the bottles to give them colour. Colour beads can also be used. Two elastic bands were placed on each bottle for grip. All in all a good idea and relatively easy for the cubs to make.
